John and Maria—known to many as “Mia”—have a love story that has truly stood the test of time. Their journey began many years ago, when they were just 18 and 19 years old, at a mutual friend’s wedding. After only briefly talking that day, they soon discovered they were both attending the same community college. Not long after, in the early days of MySpace, John decided he couldn’t let the moment pass—he tracked Mia down online, reached out, and the rest was history.

What started as a young connection quickly grew into something much deeper. Over the years, John and Mia grew side by side, becoming not only partners but best friends. They built a relationship rooted in laughter, loyalty, and shared adventures, with a love for traveling and exploring new places together.

Along the way, life led them to Twain Harte, California, where they created a home and started their own little zoo. There, their family grew to include three black cats—Piper, Binx, and Ollie—and their mini dachshund, Georgia. Being devoted “fur parents” has become one of their greatest joys.

Both John and Mia are only children, and they are blessed to be close with their parents, who still live nearby. Family has always been at the heart of their story, shaping the values and love they share today. John is proud to work alongside his parents in their family business, while Mia dedicates her days to caring for others as a nurse at the local hospital—roles that reflect their shared commitment to hard work, compassion, and loyalty.

After many years together, John and Mia are finally tying the knot—and they couldn’t be more excited. While they’ve already built a beautiful life together, this celebration means something truly special to both of them.
